Weldable gate valves (equipped with PE spigots) are primarily used to completely shut off or open the flow of a medium (most commonly water or wastewater) in plastic pipelines.

Their specific design, featuring spigots, enables a direct and permanent connection to PE (polyethylene) pipe via welding (butt or electrofusion); this eliminates the need for flanged or threaded connections, ensuring a completely leak-tight system.

Maximum closing torque MOT = 1 × DN [Nm].

CONSTRUCTIONAL FEATURES

• Full, even and depression-free passage.
• Body and cover made of ductile iron EN-GJS 500-7
• Stainless steel stem with cold rolled thread.
• Triple stem sealing system: upper wiper seal, set of two O-rings, lower lip seal.
• Possibility of replacing the gate valve stem seal.
• Wedge made of ductile iron, vulcanized internally and externally with EPDM or NBR rubber with a hardness of 70±5°Sh.
• The thickness of the rubber on the wedge is at least 3 mm.
• Wedge suspension nut on the stem – replaceable, made of brass.
• Stub ends made of PE100 PN16 SDR11, ensuring perfect butt and electrofusion welding with the PE pipeline.
• Restraint of PE pipes using sleeves made of ductile iron (EN-GJS-500-7).
• Sealing the PE connection with a heat-shrink sleeve.
• Bolts connecting to the hull – blind threads, fully protected against corrosion.
• Internal and external corrosion protection using RAL 5005 epoxy powder coating with a minimum thickness of 250 µm and a dielectric strength of 3 kV.
