Underground hydrant DN80 features a single piston closure and an innovative design. For corrosion protection, it’s coated with an epoxy resin or hot-dip galvanized anti-corrosion coating. Designed for drawing water for water supply, municipal and fire fighting purposes.

Hydrant capacity 10 dm3/s at 0.2 MPa pressure according to PN-B-02863.
Actuator cap (knob) square 27 according to PN-M-74084, adapted to a PN-M-74085 (DIN 3223) key. Number of turns to initial opening: 3.
Number of turns to full opening: 10.
O-ring stem seal.
Top-mounted piston guide allows for easy replacement of internal components on-site.
Automatic drainage upon complete closure of the hydrant:

  • Remaining water volume 0
  • Dehydration time max 15min/1m

Full internal and external corrosion protection with epoxy powder coating in red RAL 3000 or blue RAL 5015, with a coating thickness of at least 250 µm, resistant to 3 kV surge.
Other hydrant components are corrosion-resistant.
The hydrants are designed for installation on pipelines carrying drinking water according to PN-EN 1074-6.
Disinfectant resistance according to PN-EN 1074-1.
The hydrant is adapted to a street box according to PN-M-74082 (DIN 4055).

CONSTRUCTIONAL FEATURES

  • The upper body, valve chamber and stand connection as well as other cast details are made of ductile iron grade EN-GJS 500-7. Column as per table.
  • Spindle (pin) made of stainless steel with cold-rolled trapezoidal thread.
  • Brass stem nut cast in a cast iron housing.
  • Hydrant piston vulcanized with EPDM rubber with a hardness of 70°
  • Closing of the hydrant is executed by a piston cooperating with a brass guide sleeve.
